The above position will report to West Region: Regional Manager

PURPOSE

To provide general administrative support to the Regional Manager and overall regional support office.

 

Key functions:

  • To provide routine and ad-hoc administrative support functions and other services in support of the operational effectiveness of the Region.
  • Compiling annual budgets for 7 cost centers and capturing of budgets onto forecaster.
  • the centre.

  • Maintain records and reports in orderly and easily retrievable formats.
  • Assist with regional and stakeholder communications –internally and externally.

  • Deal with general and SAMSA related enquiries from the public either by telephone, in person or electronically.
  • Arrange for collection and sending of parcels on a regular basis

 

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma/Higher Education and Training Certificate in Administration or relevant.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, - as minimum)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Administration
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage confidential information
  • Knowledge of maritime legislation would be an advantage.
  • Be willing to travel at short notice
  • Understanding of Great Plains Dynamics, Forecaster, SCM programmes for procurement will be an added advantage.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To protect SAMSA Information System assets by identifying and remediating potential and actual security threats, vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • To take full responsibility for the SAMSA Information System Security including but not limited to defining the Security Strategy as well as to develop and Implement the information security roadmap and align with IT Strategy & Policies.
