Supply Chain Management and Tenders

SAMSA’ Supply Chain Management manages all procurement activities for products and services required by the organization to ensure optimal, safe and cost effective procurement.
Suppliers are required to submit the supplier database forms accompanied by the following documents: Valid Tax Clearance, Company Registration Certificate, BEE certificate and other documents (Database Registration Form)

We publish all available bid opportunities above ZAR 500 000 on our website and print media across the country.  Received bids are rated on merit following strict compliance evaluation procedures (submission of valid tax clearance certificate, mandatory requirements as stipulated in the bid e.g. Declaration forms and confirmation of Past SCM Practices) are registered under “Bid Received.  Once a bid has been awarded, the names of successful bidding companies are also published.

The bid process ensures that all products and services supplied to government are awarded in a fair and transparent manner in accordance with Treasury regulations e.g. Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (PPPFA), and the General Procurement Guidelines which guides government and SAMSA on selecting bids.
